Why does heat pose a threat? When computer chips and parts overheat, they can cease to run. For a gaming computer, that’s not a big deal. In a hospital, however, equipment needs to keep running. The 5th Annual Congress of Chemistry in Drug Discovery and Designing was held in Dubai, UAE on April 16th and 17th, 2018.   1. Did the conference on food science discuss the challenges surrounding customer consumption of healthy food? I think one of the biggest problems in nutrition is that junk food is so much cheaper to buy than healthy food, resulting in poor nutritional choices due to cost and time efficiency.

  2. We might think of chemistry when we think about medicine or experiments, but its amazing to see all the other ways chemistry is changing our lives. Chemistry has a hand in helping fight climate change and understanding our nutrition. There are so many areas in life I never anticipated chemistry weaving into.

  3. It will be interesting to see how chemists improve technology with the expansion of heat in mind. Will gadgets become smaller or bigger as science advances?

  4. I am still amazed at the fact that we have synthetic food and how it works. I would like to see more elaboration on that idea. What are some types of synthetic foods? What implications do they have on our bodies?
