6th International Conference on Environmental Chemistry
The Sixth International Conference on Environmental Chemistry occurred from July 24th to 25th in Rome, Italy. The event had over 300 participants from across the globe who were there to share their insights and recent developments in the field of environmental chemistry.
The event began with an introduction to Environmental Chemistry and Engineering. This presentation helped provide clarity about its purpose, along with reports on the future of global environmental initiatives. Sine the conference was held, the statistics and estimates presented in these reports have generally been quite accurate.
The presenters introduced another very interesting and thought-provoking concept at the conference: Environmental Biotechnology. Utilization of biotechnology is something worth considering as an alternative and quite an effective approach to waste treatment. The benefits of its implementation include economically reasonable detoxification of various substances by way of biotechnological treatments. This is possible thanks to the ability of natural microorganisms to degrade most substances.
Attendees exchanged ideas about Pollution Control and Green Chemistry at the event. They hoped that it would raise awareness about the importance of sustainable chemistry. They also wanted to illustrate how hazardous substances in the environment can be reduced. In addition, one forecast estimated a significant growth in the global market for air pollution control in the near future. This shows how important this issue has become in the last few decades.
